The story behind the screen

I loved the game.
Just not the unpacking.

Some games deserve to make it to the table more often. For me, Hogwarts Battle was one of them.

I loved the teamwork, the deck building, and the feeling of making it through another year together. But getting everything ready could take a while. Sometimes we realized we’d understood a rule differently. And at the end of a great session, there was still the job of sorting everything and putting it away.

Then there was the distance. I couldn’t find an online version that let us enjoy the game together when we weren’t in the same room. I wanted a way to spend more of our time playing, and less of it setting up, checking rules, or packing boxes.

So I had this digital version made: a place where the game can do the setup and help handle the rules, while we focus on the choices, the teamwork, and each other.

A passion project, one game night at a time.

The adventure, brought along

All the boxes.
A little less housekeeping.

Built to bring the whole experience together, with room to keep improving as we play.

01 / The collection

Beyond the first year.

Base Games 1–7, The Monster Box of Monsters, and The Charms and Potions Expansion are included. The project implements their game mechanics, from hero powers to Horcruxes, Creatures, Charms and Potions.

02 / The company

Near or far, together.

Play on a shared device or create an online room for friends. Human players make the decisions; the digital table handles the decks, resources and effects.

03 / The work in progress

A game that keeps growing.

This is an actively tested project, not a promise of perfection. If something seems wrong, the in-game feedback button lets you send the details—and an optional screenshot—to help make the next session better.

An honest project update

A labor of love.
Not an official release.

I’m actively reaching out to the necessary rights holders about licensing and permission for this project to exist. Those conversations will shape what comes next.

Depending on the outcome, it may remain publicly available or become something just for friends. Whether it stays free—or needs to become paid under a licensing agreement—also depends on what the rights holders require. No licensing approval is being claimed here.

A little rough around the edges

Yes, that’s my desk.

At the time of writing, the card images are simple photographs I took at my desk. They get us playing, but I’m working toward cleaner, more professional-looking assets while keeping the cards faithful to the originals.

If that has changed by the time you read this, wonderful—that’s progress. And if you’d like to volunteer your time or skills to help clean things up, I’d love to hear from you.
